Przedmiotem artykułu jest budowa systemu ocen okresowych na przykładzie przedsiębiorstwa transportowego. Autorka zawarła wnioski i postulaty efektywnego wykorzystania omawianego systemu jako instrumentu optymalizującego prowadzoną politykę kadrową.

The present considerations concern haw do managers perceive workers employee's evaluation system in the case of transport's enterprises. The attention is also paid to manager's feelings and fears during the evaluation's practice. The six following conditions follow the analysis of the data obtained in the investigations in which took part 72 managers. They distinguished the following factors: - the making the most the results of the evaluation system to dismiss superfluous employees; - the lack of positive results of the utilising the evaluations system; - the dim aims of the evaluation system; - the defects of the evaluation system's organisation; - the lack of the feed back information system or gaps in the feed back information system; - the subjectivism of the person expected to evaluate others.
