Omówiono podstawy prawne działalności gospodarczej zagranicznych inwestorów w Polsce, motywy inwestowania kapitału zagranicznego, stan i dynamikę inwestycji zagranicznych i zatrudnienie w spółkach z udziałem kapitału zagranicznego.

In the article information is included concerning the activity of foreign investors in Poland and attention is focused on some aspects of activity. The author presented the legal frame-work within which foreign investors have to function, factors motivating them to invest in our country and also barriers which obstruct this process. Further on, the author discussed the state, the intensity, branch and regional structure of foreign investments in Poland in the years 1990-1994. Moreover, the consequences of the appearance of foreign investors on the Polish labour market were presented and an attempt was made at the demonstration of the positive and negative aspects of this presence. The author also quoted opinions of Polish employees working in stateowned enterprises concerning the role of foreign investments in the economy of our country.(original abstract)
