W krajach Unii Europejskiej izby gospodarcze uważa się za wyznacznik rozwoju gospodarki i traktuje jako podmiot ją reprezentujący. Autorka przedstawiła organizację systemu izb gospodarczych we Włoszech.

The article presents the organization of the chambers of commerce system in Italy as it is an example of this kind of institutions in the European Union countries and it can be an example to analyse and to project development of such kind of organizations in Poland. The first point of the article presents the law regulations determining Italian chambers of commerce activities. In the second and third point the institutions of the system, their relationships and the internal figures of chamber of commerce are described. In the fourth point the relations between chambers of commerce, public administration and market participants are presented in order to show the position and weight of chambers of commerce in the whole, complex economy system.(original abstract)
