Abstrakty

Przedmiotem opracowania jest badanie wpływu urynkowienia na rynek produktów rolnych oraz ocena procesów dostosowawczych zachodzących na tym rynku. Autor przeanalizował przemiany podmiotowej i funkcjonalnej struktury rynku produktów rolnych a także dokonał oceny występujących na nim tendencji. Zwrócił uwagę na negatywne zjawiska jakie towarzyszyły przemianom m.in. niską mobilność kapitału i siły roboczej, czy też szerokiego zakresu działań interwencyjnych państwa i dużej monopolizacji otoczenia rolnictwa.

Introduction of free market into the food production sector and transformations in the whole economic system significantly influenced changes in all spheres of the food economy. Abolishment of the state monopoly of prices for agricultural produce and means of production, demonopolization of purchases from farmers and liquidation of barriers in international trade radically changed the situation on the food market where until 1989 demand exceeded supply. Parallel reforms in the economic entities and in the functioning of food economy freed the economic units from the impact of relicts of the command system. Adjustment processes resulted in a series of negative phenomena connected, among others, with: limited access to markets, bigger price differences between earnings obtained and the costs of obtaining them, and consequently with restriction of the purchasing power of entities operating on the market, shrinking of the sources of accumulation, and decreased interest in implementing innovation and progress. Observation of the market of agricultural produce makes it possible to appreciate highly its capability of balancing demand and supply. On the other hand, however, it must be said that its role in liquidating time-spatial differentiations of market elements, in financing the turnover of agricultural produce and in taking over production risk has so far been rather small.(original abstract)
