Abstrakty

Autor próbuje uchwycić wpływ polityki ekologicznej na zmianę konkurencyjności międzynarodowej krajowego przemysłu. Za pomocą modeli jednostronnej i koalicyjnej redukcji emisji zanieczyszczeń przedstawia prognozy wpływu międzynarodowych porozumień ekologicznych na konkurencyjność krajowych producentów.

So far while signing international agreements concerning the protection of the environment by Poland an economic analysis of the decisions made was very limited indeed. At worst, expenditure is calculated as little exceeding expenses from the state budget to pay membership fees for the agreement's participants. As best, attempts are made anticipating additional investment outlays (e.g.execution programme for the second sulphur protocol). The author's proposition is to supplement these estimates with an analysis of the impact of ecological agreements on international competition. It is conventionally accepted that increased standards of environment protection undermine the ability of native businesses to compete on international markets. The author verifies the hypothesis conducting a full review of empirical studies and world literature on the subject of prognosticating the impact of ecological policies on economy's international competitiveness.
