Abstrakty
W artykule zaprezentowano zespół teorii ekonomicznych przydatnych dla badania rynków transportowych i zjawiska konkurencji w transporcie. Autor wskazał na pełną przydatność modelu struktury ekonomicznej sektora M.E.Portera. Omówił przebieg rzeczywistych procesów rynkowych, poziomy regulacji rynków transportowych oraz strategie stosowane przez przedsiębiorstwa transportowe. Autor analizując strategie firm zwraca uwagę na rolę czasu.
There is a need to formulate a mesoeconomic model describing the mechanism of transport market. This requires systematization of the relevant knowledge and, first of all, clear determination of theoretical bases for studying transport markets. Particular attention should be paid to the differentiation of the market structures and to the variety of entry and exit barriers in transport. Against this background strategies of transport firms and the process of regulation in this sector should be analysed. Interesting results can be obtained through concretization at the level of the transport market of a well-known paradigm "structure-behaviour-profitability" with the use of some elements of M.E. Porter's model of sector. This leads to a mesoeconomic model of sector in which the structure of the market and the strategies and profitability of firms are simultaneously under the influence of the barriers of entry, bargain power of demand and regulatory activities on the part of the state. Development of this model which describes the processes of competition in transport should concentrate on the time factor and the phenomenon of time outpacing.(original abstract)
