Abstrakty
Autor zwraca uwagę na fakt, że wszystkie siły polityczne i społeczne w Polsce opowiadają się za przekształceniami ustrojowo-systemowymi. Problemem jest jednak wybór sposobu realizacji decyzji strategicznych. Autor omawia spory wokół celów transformacji, kontrowersje związane z wdrażaniem prywatyzacji i zasad demokracji. W konkluzji podkreśla, że brak akceptacji społecznej dla przekształceń rodzi nowy problem rosnącej alienacji i dezaktywizacji wielkich grup społecznych.
The paper presents dilemmas of choice connected with the most important imperatives of the modernisation programmein Poland, i.e. coreation of market economy, economic role of state, ownership transformations and democracy. In result of the analysis the author shows unquestioned necessity of the development of market economy based on private ownership and entrepreneurship. However, concrete features of this economy remain controversial. There is no doubt that the creation of market economy means a limited economic role of the state. At the same time the article shows that the state, without any imposition of tasks or distribution of means, should support market allocation so that its social and economic policy would enjoy the society' sunderstanding and support. This requires strengthening of the democratic political system as market and democracy are mutually dependent. In conclusion the author states that the development of the market economy and democracy in Poland is the best method to overcome all kinds of doctrinarianism, alienation and deactivation of large social groups.
