Wywiad gospodarczy to potrzeba ciągłego monitorowania otoczenia przedsiębiorstwa polegająca na gromadzeniu informacji, ich przetwarzaniu oraz rozpowszechnianiu w konkretnych komórkach przedsiębiorstwa. Autor omawia istotę i sens wywiadu gospodarczego, który budzi dużo kontrowersji kojarząc się ze szpiegostwem. Uświadomienie sobie korzyści ze stosowania wywiadu gospodarczego w zgodzie z normami etycznymi stanowi nową jakość w zarzadząniu współczesnym przedsiębiorstwem.
Corporate intelligence is becoming a new granch in the area of the management sciences and the new practice of enterprises that is awaking many controversies and misunderstanding. Whereas there is a necessity of permanent monitoring of enterprise's environment. Monitoring consist in data collecting, processing and propagating them among enterprise's divisions in accordance with law order and ethical norms. Corporate Intelligence has developed in the economies of Western countries especially in the USA. There were also undertaken the firts trials of ethical norms formation of new professions connected with corporate intelligence. Awareness of the advantages resulting from usage of corporate intelligence in accordance with ethical norms has become the new quality in modern management of the enterprises. (original abstract)
