Abstrakty

Omówiono wyniki badania poziomu rozwoju gospodarczego wybranych województw (bielskie, chełmskie, łódzkie, opolskie, poznańskie, słupskie, tarnowskie, wałbrzyskie, zielonogórskie), dobranych wg trzech głównych typów regionów Polski pod względem przebiegu transformacji. Przy ich doborze uwzględniono następujące kryteria: poziom rozwoju, typ struktury gospodarczej, osiągnięcia w procesie restrukturyzacji gospodarki i położenie geograficzne. Autorzy sklasyfikowali układ instytucjonalny w poszczególnych województwach oraz zależności między procesami realnymi i funkcjonowaniem regionalnego układu instytucjonalnego.

The article presents an analysis of links between features of the voivodships' institutional systems and the level of their economic development and the dynamics of structural changes which take place in them. The ten voivodships under analysis (Bielsko, Chełm, Łódź, Opole, Poznań, Radom, Tarnów, Słupsk, Wałbrzych, Zielona Góra) represent Poland's regions types with respect to the transformation course. In their selection the following criteria were used: level of development, type of economic structure, achievements brought off in the process of economic restructuring and geographic location. On the basis of the obtained statistical data and conducted field research the authors formulate the following principal conclusions: - there exists a strong positive correlation between the level of development of a voivodship and the nature of its institutional system. This means that a low level of a voivodship's development determines the occurence of relations of atomic and multifocal type, while a higher level of development of hierarchical and networking type - there exists a week positive correlation between the dynamics of structural changes of economy and the nature of its institutional system. This means that a more complex type of an institutional system favours a higher dynamics of structural changes. Generally, it may be said that the dynamics of changes is weakest in the case of the system of atomic and multifocal type, stronger in the case of hierarchical system and strongest in the case of the networking type.
