Abstrakty

Przedstawiono proces ewoluowania zmian nazewnictwa nauki "ekonomia" od czasów starożytnych (Ksenofont) aż do współczesności. Autorzy uważają, że nazwy "ekonomia polityczna", "nauka gospodarstwa narodowego", "nauka gospodarstwa społecznego", "ekonomika", "ekonomia społeczna", "ekonomia narodowa", "ekonomia", "makroekonomia" oraz "mikroekonomia" należy traktować rónoważnie, gdyż nawiązują one do bogatego dorobku i tradycji polskiej ekonomii.

In the Polish economy the process of the transformation of the socialist economic system into the market-oriented one is accompanied by the change in the content of the science of economics and the name itself. Regretfully, this change is connected with the departure from the traditional and very rich terminology which has been in use for more than two hundred years. It is a mistake to identify the name polical economy with the marxist trend. It is too often that the origin of this term is wrongly interpreted not only in the economic popular texts but also in the scientific literature. While discussing the origin of the name economics and other names identical with it, the author reffered to the rich output and traditions of the Polish science of economics. It has been demonstrated that various terms given to this science adequately express the essence of this science. (original abstract)
