Abstrakty

W artykule przedstawiono w oparciu o rozwiązania przyjęte w Polsce, różnice w funkcjonowaniu rachunkowości w poszczególnych krajach oraz oceniono ich skalę w celu identyfikacji możliwych barier przyszłej integracji. Dokonano krótkiej charakterystyki oraz podziału zasad rachunkowości na zasady nadrzędne i pomocnicze biorąc pod uwagę trzy normalizacje prawne, jakimi są: międzynarodowe standardy rachunkowości, dyrektywy EWG (ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem dyrektywy czwartej z 25.07.1978 r. o rocznych zamknięciach rachunkowych spółek), polska ustawa o rachunkowości z 29 września 1994 roku.

The paper presents differences and similarity between the way accounting principles work in Poland, UE and according to International Accounting Standards. The accounting principles mean the grounds, the bases on which all other accounting standards and solutions are based. Paper is aimed at presenting comparison of existing fundamental accounting concept, but not only. It also contains characteristic of principles, shows the ideas concerned their appearance and the main purpose of existence fundamental concepts in accounting system. Nowadays, understandability, comparability and reliability of information presented in financial statement are one of the most important things in "world without boards". To compliance with that requirements and to become a international business language as a consequence, accounting as a science and practice, should have got similar grounds all over the world. Users should be aware of main concepts on which financial statements are based if they are to be able to understand and interpret those financial statements.
