The European Business Excellence Model as a Quality Management System

Abstrakty
Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie konstrukcji i zastosowania europejskiego modelu doskonałości biznesu (European Business Excellency Model - EBEM). Model ten stanowi zwarty system działań mających na celu zapewnienie jakości na każdym szczeblu, w każdej funkcji oraz na każdym etapie działania organizacji. Autorka przedstawiła także implikcje rozwoju systemów zarządzania jakością oraz system zarządzania jakością oparty na normach ISO.
The article presents the new idea of implementation of European Business Excellence Model as a well-integrated system of quality management. The model has been developed by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) to ensure that Europe attains and remains in best shape to combat global competition. In author's opinion the model could be in other countries as well, playing role of routes to achieve appropriate level of performance quality. Presented article consists of three chapters. In the first one, author describes internal and external reasons to introoducing quality systems. This is a new challenge for businesses in point of view the increasing competition and process of business globalisation. The second chapter is devoted to showing the evolution process in attitudes to the quality aspects of business. Therefore, there is a short description of ISO standards system and the Total Quality Management as a modern philosophy. Finally, in the third part of the article author gives detailed description of the EBEM model, indicating its positive and negative characteristics. (original abstract)
