Autor identyfikuje system płatniczy odnosząc go do instrumentów, organizacji, procedur, informacji operacyjnych oraz systemów komunikacji pomiędzy bankiem, płatnikiem, a odbiorcą, a także transferu pieniędzy. Omawia koszty systemów płatniczych, zwracając uwagę na sprawność zarządzania różnego rodzaju ryzykami finansowymi i rolę banku centralnego w systemach płatności.

The author of this article relates costs of transactions to the processing of information, negotiating of agreement, transferring information and documents as well as monitoring and executing payments. The systems of payments are exposed to financial risk therefore it is worthwhile some precautionary measures in the transferof funds. Great attention should be paid to the role the central bank plays in the systems of payments, due to the fact that this institution has a controlling power. With reference to these links many countries have reformed their financial operations and payment systems in a coordination way. (short orig. abstract)
