W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań elektrokinetycznych otrzymane na podstawie zmodyfikowanej metody pomiarowej. Badano dzianiny wełniane poddane procesowi plazmowania.Celem pracy było określenie, czy proces plazmowania istotnie zmienia właściwości wełny oraz w jaki sposób ewentualne różnice mogą być uwidocznione w pomiarach elektrokinetycznych.

The functional properties of textiles are determined by the properties characteristic of the fibre volume and the properties related to the surface. Wool fibre of a two-component structure is a typical example of the difference between the surface properties and the properties related to the volume. In order to improve the properties of fibres and textiles various surface modifications are used. At present more and more attention is given to the possibilities of using low temperature plasma for the improvement of functional and technological properties related to the surface. The paper presents the results of the studies on the surface properties of modified wool fibre, based on electrokinetic effects. An improved measuring method is shown. The method makes it possible to test porous materials in various liquid media. Plasma sprayed knitted wool fabric was tested. The results point to the fact that the plasma spraying process modifies significantly the electrokinetic properties of wool - for the modified surface higher values of electrokinetic parameters are obtained.
