The processes of integration have affected different levels of Europeans' live: cultural, political, legal and economic. In the cultural sense the EU draws on the European identity arising from Greek democracy, Roman law and the Christian tradition. The social aspect marks a diversity of languages, legal systems, religions, living conditions and, at the same time, the unification of conditions, principles and mechanisms of operation of European Community structures.
