Abstrakty

W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań nad polityką dywidendową w spółkach notowanych na Giełdzie Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie. W podsumowaniu stwierdzono, że wyniki badań sposobu ustalania wysokości dywidendy na jedną akcję przez spółki giełdowe wskazują, że ok. 40 procent spółek (w latach 1994-1996) prowadziło politykę stałej dywidendy na jedną akcję. Badanie dywidend na jedną akcję płaconych przez firmę w 1996 wykazało model regresji liniowej.

In the paper the results of the studies on the divident policy of the companies quoted at the Stock Exchange in Warsaw are presented. When investigating the companies which paid dividends in the years 1994-1996 it was noted that part of them pursued the policy of constant dividend per share, corrected according to the inflaction index. The examination of the dividends per share paid by the companies in 1996 has resulted in a linear regression model, in which the dividend per share in 1996 is presented as a function of profit per share in 1996 and divident per share in the year before. The coefficient of determination R2 for that model is 0.876, i.e. about 88 procent of the dividend per share is explained by the profits per share and the dividend in the year before(original abctract)
