Abstrakty

W artykule opisano kompetencje i zadania samorządu powiatowego. Przedstawiono również ocenę istniejących obecnie uwarunkowań rozwoju przedsiębiorczości na ziemi sądeckiej. Zbadano również możliwości potencjału ludzkiego tego obszaru. W zakończeniu przedstawiono analizę słabych i mocnych stron rozwoju przedsiębiorczości na Sądecczyźnie.

In this article, the author presents excerpts from studies conducted within the framework of the Nowy Sącz economic development programme, the basic aim of which was to formulate a strategy of economic development for the region. During the preparation of this programme, the development of entrepreneurship was recognized as a key factor in stimulating the region's economy. The present study focuses on the problems of preparing a SWOT analysis for the enterprise group. It is composed of several parts. In the first part, the author briefly outlines the prerogatives and tasks of powiats, resulting from the legal regulations in force and representing the theoretical basis for the preparation of an economic development strategy. Then, the author offers a diagnosis of current factors governing the development of entrepreneueship in the Nowy Sącz region, taking into account natural, geographical, and socio-economic factors as well as providing a general description of institutions supporting entrepreneurship. Next, he considers the possibilities for exploiting human capital. In the last part of the article, the author sums up the strong and weak points of entrepreneurship development in the Nowy Sącz region, basing this on the work of the enterprise group and on his own previous analysis.
