W opracowaniu autor omówił warunki rozwoju oraz czynniki kształtujące sytuację oraz stan polskiego rolnictwa w kontekście przystąpienia do Unii Europejskiej. Zaprezentował także syntezę sytuacji w rolnictwie, oraz zmiany modernizacyjne zachodzące w warunkach gospodarki rynkowej.

The paper deals with the conditioning of the development and factors influencing the situation and state of Polish agriculture in the context of our joining the European Union. The issues discussed in the paper have been grouped by problems and the scale of their occurrence. The paper presents a synthetic analysis of the position of agriculture and the modernizing changes that have been taking place in it under the conditions of the market economy, as well as the directions of further restructuring processes, in view of Poland's integration with the European Union.
