Zaprezentowano ujemne skutki istnienia deficytu budżetowego w kontekście programów stabilizujących. Omówiono także mechanizmy towarzyszące deficytowi budżetowemu.

In this article, the author looks at the negative effects of budget deficits in the context of stabilisation programmes. She discusses the dangers that a persistent budget deficit. She also looks at the mechanisms that accompany budget deficits. Furthermore, the author discusses the direct impact of external shocks on public finances in Latin American countries. She identifies those factors which make Latin American countries more subject to external shocks. (short original abstract)
