This article presents the privatization and consolidation process of selected aspects the Polish banking Sector during the years 1989-1999. It presents the basic strategies and consolidations methods of selected Banks as weel as the effects of the current changes. This article also portrays the privatization and consolidation process as one of the elements of the changes in the ownership of the capital structure that enhances the potential of the Polish banking Sector.
