Abstrakty

Przedstawiono zakres oraz limity gwarantowania depozytów bankowych. Wyjaśniono zasady i procedury wypłaty depozytów gwarantowanych. Omówiono finansowanie działalności gwarancyjnej Bankowego Funduszu Gwarancyjnego i realizację wypłat środków gwarantowanych.

This article discusses the Bank Guarantee Fund's (BGF) performance of its primary role of guarantor. The discussion is based on legal regulations making the basis of the Polish system of bank deposits guaranteeing as well as the relevant European standards. The analysis covered the whole period of BGF operation, i.e. the period between 1995 and 2001. The analysed spheres included the scope and level of deposit guarantees, principles and procedures involved in paying out the guaranteed deposits, fmancing guarantee activity and payment of guarantee funds.(original abstract)
