Abstrakty

W piśmiennictwie ekonomicznym dominuje pogląd, że "integracja stanowi długotrwały proces tworzenia jednolitej struktury gospodarczej w obrębie pewnej grupy krajów". W artykule omówiono cele, zasady i mechanizmy integracji gospodarczej. Przedstawiono teorię integracji według B. Ballasy, J. Tinbergena i J. Vinera .

The aim of this article is to present the general mechanism of the processes of integration as well as to determine factors that are essential to ensuring that the integrated economic system functions effectively. Furthermore, the author presents the potential costs and benefits associated with these processes from a static and dynamic perspective. He also analyses models, mechanisms, forms, goals and rules of International economic integration.Different research trends in the theory of integration constitute the theoretical basis for the author's deliberations in this article. The issues discussed in the article have very broad applicability, especially in the context of increasing tendencies towards European and global integration seen in recent years, as well as Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries' aspirations towards European Union membership.
