Abstrakty
W artykule omówiono specyfikę ubezpieczeń finansowych, ich wymogi formalno-prawne, funkcje oraz perspektywy rozwoju w Polsce.
The history of financial insurance in Poland is relatively short. Until 1990 this type of insurance was practically unknown. The only type of financial insurance existing in this period was an export credit insurance conducted sińce 1957 by insurance and Reinsurance Company Warta. Since 1990, together with the commencement of the process of transformation of the Polish economy from a nature of command-distributing economy to market economy, a real circumstances for development of this type of insurance have emerged. The market economy has changed the approach of firms towards property insurance. Together with a development of an economic exchange and market economy, a demand on the new types of Insurance emerged, among others, on financial Insurance which were more and more offered by insurance companies. Since 1992, apart from an export credit insurance, new types of insurances, unknown earlier on the Polish financial risk insurance market, have appeared, among other: Insurance of domestic commercial credit, insurance of leasing and hire-purchase dues, factoring insurance, and insurance guarantees.(original abstract)
