Artykuł ma na celu przedstawienie wpływu T. Ohno na kształtowanie się systemu produkcyjnego Toyoty oraz prezentacje tych elementów systemu, których był pomysłodawcą. Głównym celem tego systemu jest zwiększenie wydajności produkcji poprzez dokładne i stopniowe eliminowanie strat.
