Abstrakty

W opracowaniu przedstawiono podstawowe dane dotyczące skali i charakteru zjawiska bezrobocia wtórnego w Polsce na tle doświadczeń europejskich oraz światowych. Przeanalizowano również wybrane pozycje światowej literatury przedmiotu odnośnie przyczyn, skutków oraz charakteru bezrobocia wtórnego w poszczególnych krajach.

Secondary unemployment is one of the most poorly diagnosed aspects of unemployment in Poland and, as a multi-dimensional phenomenon, undoubtedly requires very thorough analysis. Only complete knowledge about its basic determinants and a precise determination of its scale and structure will be of any assistance in precipitating a significant drop in unemployment in Poland. Seeking to fill these gaps, this article presents basic data on the scale and character of secondary unemployment in Poland in the context of European and global experience. The author also offers a discussion - limited by the scope of the paper - of world literature on the subject, covering the causes, effects and character of secondary unemployment in various countries. The article - both empirically and analytically - should be treated as an attempt to outline the problem rather than a thorough analysis of secondary unemployment. (original abstract)
