Abstrakty

Przedstawiono pojęcie państwa narodowego oraz jego przemiany w koncepcjach politycznych po II wojnie światowej. Opisano również pojęcie europeizacji, obszary europeizacji oraz skutki europeizacji. Autor przestawił również kilka sugestii na temat przyszłości państwa narodowego.

The author discusses several issues related to different key concepts of the nation state in post-war political science. The most significant challenges to face the classical concept of the nation state are the processes of globalisation and European integration. Priority is given to an analysis of the status of the nation state under European integration. The impact of this process has brought changes to the nation state. These changes are defined as Europeanisation. The term pertains to all the processes related to the operation of European institutions and, especially, the EU. The following areas of the Europeanisation of the nation state are examined: the constitutional order, the system of government and administration, national identity and the common foreign and security policy. The author concludes that there are many arguments suggesting that the nation state is in good condition and still useful.(original abstract)
