Przedstawiono rozwój rolnictwa i rynku żywności ekologicznej w krajach Unii Europejskiej oraz w wybranych krajach wstępujących do Unii. Wskazano na pozytywne zmiany, jakie dokonały się w tym zakresie w ostatnich latach oraz na kierunki dalszych przeobrażeń, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem trzech krajów Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej (Czech, Węgier i Polski). The development of the organic agriculture and the market of the organic food in the European Union and countries joining the EU were presented. In this paper, there were pointed the positive changes that occurred in this field in the recent years and the direction of further changes, particularly including three countries of central and eastern Europe (The Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland).
