Abstrakty

Przedstawiono zasady reformy polityki regionalnej Unii Europejskiej. Opisano również rodzaje funduszy strukturalnych i funduszy spójności.

The article attempts to acquaint the Polish reader with the Community regional policy and its operation. At the threshold of entering the EU and, in its effect, the availability of structural funds becoming a reality, the knowledge of how these principles work becomes essential. The understanding of the workings of theses mechanisms is not possible in separation from the historical background. That is why the article takes on the form of an analysis of the development of the structural policy from a time perspective. Because the accession negotiations have been finalised, it is possible to estimate the size of funds reserved for us in the EU budget, a fact that can become an important argument in the campaign leading to the referendum.(original abstract)
