Abstrakty
The article discusses the basic microeconomic and marketing conditions for quality management in the enterprise. The original, probabilistic model of consumer decision making process has been presented. The model includes the distribution of budget constraints in the given segment of the market, as well as the distribution of preferences pertaining to the satisfaction of the defined aggregate of needs. A new definition of product (good or service) quality has been proposed for the purposes of the model. The definition treats the quality as relation between the set of needs and the set of technical and utility properties of the product. The constructed model can be applied in computer simulation experiments, aiming at the assessment of market opportunities of designed product. The model can also assist In decision making process related to product modernization. (original abstract)
