Przedmiotem referatu były procedury wyceny obligatoryjnych rezerw na ryzyko związane z działalnością banków, zwanych potocznie rezerwami celowymi, a celem prezentacja i ocena tych procedyr, dokonana na podstawie analizy przepisów obowiązujących w Polsce.

The objective of this article is to present procedures for obligatory adjusted reserves' valuation, popularly called adjusted reserves, against the risk incurred in banks' activities and its purpose is to describe and evaluate these procedures, conducted on the basis of legislation obligatory in Poland. As the result of carried out research it has been observed that banks functioning in Poland may perform the obligatory adjusted reserves' valuation based on one of two procedures - universal or individual one. The principles for determining adjusted reserves' value following the universal procedure are uniform for all banks and strictly standardized by legislation, while according to the individual procedure they are not formalised and set by particular banks individually, so they may vary depending on the bank. Although all banks functioning in Poland have been able to establish the value of obligatory adjusted reserves on the basis of individual procedures for more than two years, none of the banks has decided to follow such a procedure so far.
