Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest potwierdzenie tezy, że dla tworzenia polityki państwa konieczne jest postrzeganie pracy niepłatnej jako odrębnej kategorii, różnej zarówno od pracy zawodowej, jak i działalności nieprodukcyjnej. Pokazano to na przykładzie opieki nad dzieckiem i dlatego stanowi ona główny punkt odniesienia do przeprowadzonej analizy.

Most scientific publications define the term "work" as paid work, employment. Such an approach excludes from the analysis unpaid work done for the household, mainly by women. In this context the article has two aims. The first one is to present differences and similarities between paid and unpaid work on the example of childcare. The second and the main one is to indicate the relations between unpaid work, employment and social policy of the EU countries towards mothers. (original abstract)
