Opieka nad dzieckiem a praca zawodowa matek w krajach UE

Równość płci, uelastycznienie czasu pracy, a szczególnie zapewnienie odpowiednich możliwości opieki nad dzieckiem, mogą stworzyć społeczny kontekst, w którym kobieta będzie mogła jednocześnie realizować się w pracy zawodowej i pracy domowej. Niewystarczająca liczba żłobków i przedszkoli sprawia, że dobrze wykształcone kobiety dają pierwszeństwo pracy zawodowej, całkowicie przy tym rezygnując z posiadania dzieci. Autor analizuje problem dostępności finansowej opieki nad dzieckiem, jakość tej opieki, jej dostępność w czasie i przestrzeni w krajach Unii Europejskiej oraz w szczególności w Niemczech
