W pierwszej części pracy przedstawiono definicje terminu "przedsiębiorczość". Następnie omówiono modele innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw. W zakończeniu artykułu zaprezentowano aktualne kierunki badań w relacji przedsiębiorczość - innowacja.

This article discusses the nature of entrepreneurship as seen by various authors and opts for a broad definition of entrepreneurship understood as all forms of the economic activity of entrepreneurs that start and manage businesses. Two kinds of innovativeness that stimulate entrepreneurship are identified: the model of entrepreneurial innovation and model of the creative accumulation. A modern interpretation of the innovativeness concept proposed by J. Schumpeter and P. Drucker suggests new research directions, such as the level of entrepreneurship and innovativeness in the SME sector, public sector innovativeness, and possible sources of financing innovativeness.
