Abstrakty
W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienie mechanizmów rynkowych dyscyplinujących działania pośredników finansowych, takich jak: banki, zakłady ubezpieczeń i fundusze inwestycyjne. Przybliżono definicję dyscypliny rynkowej i regulacyjnej. Omówiono przyczyny wzrostu zainteresowania dyscypliną rynkową (przemiany w systemie finansowym, niedoskonałości regulacyjne mechanizmów dyscyplinujących, wyniki badań empirycznych potwierdzających pozytywny wpływ dyscypliny rynkowej na bezpieczeństwo systemu finansowego), inicjatywy zmierzające do wzmocnienia dyscypliny rynkowej (inicjatywy ułatwiające proces rynkowego monitorowania, inicjatywy wzmacniające zachęty do sprawowania dyscypliny rynkowej i zwiększające siłę jej oddziaływania).
