Opracowanie dotyczy ewolucji wspólnej polityki regionalnej w aspekcie rozwoju procesów integracyjnych. Przedstawiono istotę funkcjonowania polityki regionalnej i jej znaczenia dla integracji a także omówiono główne kierunki reformy w obliczu wyzwań z Lizbony.
The paper deals with changes in regional Policy of the European Union in context of the Lisboan Strategy. The first part of the paper presents the main determinants of regional development and indicators of such development in order to show why regional policy is essential. In the second part the author described the evolution of regional policy and its' future changes under the execution of the Lisboan Strategy. The evolution of regional policy tends toward an active one. It started with support that aim was to diminish economic and social differences and now focuses on influencing on factors deciding about competitiveness of the regions. It is going to be achieved thanks to modifications of aims of regional policies between 2007-2013. (original abstract)
