System CERVER+Shock polega na drobiazgowej kontroli każdego elementu łańcucha żywności. W artykule przybliżono jego genezę oraz istotę. Zaprezentowano proces analizy zagrożeń za pomocą systemu CARVER+Shock.

Intentional food contamination resulting from terrorist attack differs significantly from traditional accidental food contamination. That is the reason why we need to implement more effective methods to prevent and respond to a potential terrorism event. A risk-assessment tool called CARVER+Shock helps food processors protect their products against that new and very dangerous hazard. It helps identify the most attractive targets for terrorists and can be used to assess the vulnerabilities within a system or infrastructure to an attack. CARVER is an acronym which stands for six attributes- Criticality, Accessibility, Recuperability, Vulnerability, Effect and Recognizability. CARVER tool also evaluates a seventh attribute - the combined health, economic and psychological impacts of an attack, called Shock. The main goal of the article is to present the method CARVER+Shock. Furthermore, the description of attributes, scales and calculations of final values are presented. (original abstract)
