Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest scharakteryzowanie zagranicznych inwestycji bezpośrednich w województwie zachodniopomorskim wiatach 1999-2003, posiłkując się wybranymi zagadnieniami związanymi z ich strukturą podmiotową, geograficzną i branżową. Analizę przeprowadzono w oparciu o dane, zbierane przez Główny Urząd Statystyczny, dotyczące podmiotów zagranicznych inwestujących w naszym kraju, biorąc pod uwagę rozmieszczenie przestrzenne kraju (z uwzględnieniem podziału na województwa).

The aim of the present publication is to characterize the foreign direct investment in the West-Pomeranian region in the years 1999-2003. This publication makes use of the selected issues connected with the structure of the business, the subjects and geography. The results of the carried out research indicate that the influx of direct foreign investment to the Western Region and the whole country is on the rise but the dynamics of the analyzed region is much lower than in the other parts of the country. In the structure of the subjects there has been an increase in the number of companies with the share of foreign capital in Poland whereas the West-Pomeranian Region registered the gradual decrease. Taking into consideration the origin of the invested foreign capital, the major foreign investors don't invest in here either. In the structure of the business, on the other hand the trade and production are dominating, they are however not very innovative and carry low technological and technical potential.
