Abstrakty

Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą przedstawienia lokalnych zasobów (ludzkich, instytucjonalnych, ekonomicznych itp.) oraz ich potencjał w przeciwdziałaniu międzypokoleniowej transmisji nierówności społecznych w ośmiu średnich miastach, gdzie zostały przeprowadzone badania w ramach frojektu PROFIT . Tekst powstał na podstawie oficjalnych i publicznie dostępnych danych dotyczących sytuacji społeczno-ekonomicznej badanych miast, oraz analizy informacji zebranych w trakcie wywiadów z przedstawicielami gmin, które biorą udział w projektowaniu i wdrażaniu polityki społecznej na poziomie lokalnym.

The article is an attempt to present local resources (human, institutional, economic etc.) and their potential in counteracting intergenerational transmission of social inequalities in eight medium-size towns where fieldwork in the frame of PROFIT project was conducted. It is based on the data concerning socio-economic situation and social infrastructure in each of them, and the analysis of information gathered during focus group interviews with representatives of municipalities who are involved in designing and implementing social policy at the local level.(original abstract)
