Abstrakty

Celem mniejszego artykułu jest pokazanie nowych trendów w procesie internacjonalizacji działalności badawczo-rozwojowej (B+R), z udziałem korporacji transnarodowych, oraz zidentyfikowanie korzyści i zagrożeń generowanych w nowych warunkach. Postawiono tu tezę, że w dobie globalizacji działalności B+R, warunkiem uzyskania przez kraje rozwijające się długookresowych korzyści ekonomicznych jest rozwój krajowego potencjału badawczego oraz zapewnienie odpowiedniej zdolności absorpcyjnej nowych technologii. W publikowanym tu artykule została zaprezentowana ewolucja motywów umiędzynarodowienia badań, z podziałem na czynniki o charakterze popytowym i podażowym, scharakteryzowano aktualne trendy w zakresie umiędzynarodowienia wiedzy. Określono efekty analizowanego procesu.(fragment artykułu)

Internationalisation of R&D activities is one of the dimensions of globalisation process. Growing complexity and interdisciplinary character of research projects are reflected in the increase of costs and risk of innovative activities. It causes that trans-national corporations change their strategies realised up to now and try to obtain innovation sources from outside. This situation results in certain effects both for countries accepting R&D investments and for countries where the transfer of knowledge has originated. The aim of this article is to show new trends in the internalisation process of R&D activity with the participation of trans-national corporations and to identify its advantages and threats for developing countries. In this article a thesis has been put forward that at the time of R&D globalisation the development of domestic research potential and providing sufficient absorption capacity for new technologies is the condition to obtain long-term economic benefits for emerging economies.
