Economic convergence and the fundamental equilibrium exchange rate in Poland

W artykule zaprezentowano rozszerzoną wersję modelu kursu równowagi fundamentalnej(ang. Fundamental equilibrium exchange rate - FEER). Przez wprowadzenie produktu potencjalnego w specyfikacji równań handlu zagranicznego częściowego modelu kursu równowagi FEER pokazano, że w pewnych realnych założeniach, obliczony poziom kursu równowagi jest zgodny z szacunkami zachowania równowagi wymiany (ang. Behavioral equilibrium exchange rate - BEER). Co więcej wskazano, że włączenie terms of trade jako objaśniającej zmiennej w ograniczonej postaci równania BEER dla realnego kursu walutowego może prowadzić do nieokreśloności oceny parametrów. Proponowany model jest stosowany do analizy fluktuacji polskiego złotego. Pokazano, że realna aprecjacja złotego jest w dużej mierze zjawiskiem równowagi.
