Potwierdzono, że nierówności wynikające z rozkładu zasobów, a zwłaszcza w kontekście gospodarki stymulowanej wiedzą, nierówności w dostępie do kapitału ludzkiego wyhamowują długookresowy wzrost gospodarczy. Wśród głównych kanałów transmisji nierówności w kapitale ludzkim na wzrost gospodarczych udowodnione zostały: kapitał ludzki i jakość instytucji. (abstrakt oryginalny)

This paper reviews recent theory and research dealing with the macro relationships between income inequality, asset inequality and economic growth. This generally fails to find strong, and especially robust to econometric baseline model specification, pattern of the influence of income inequality on economic growth. The paper finds asset inequality, especially in the context of knowledge economy, human capital inequality affects negativelly and in statistically significant way economic development. The most important channnels of indirect transmission of this impact are: human capital and quality of institutions. (original abstract)
