Abstrakty

W artykule omówiono problematykę wykorzystania ontologii do zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. Zaprezentowano najbardziej znane definicje tego pojęcia, scharakteryzowano różne rodzaje ontologii oraz wskazano na możliwe obszary jej wykorzystania. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na zastosowanie ontologii do modelowania przedsiębiorstw, omówiono projekty rozwijające ontologie dla tego typu przedsięwzięć, w tym także dla działalności e-biznesowej. Na podstawie tych rozważań dokonano oceny przydatności ontologii do wspomagania zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem oraz sformułowano wynikające z pracy wnioski. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The article discusses the issues of ontology utilisation in enterprise management. The most prevalent definitions of ontology have been presented, various ontology types have been characterised and possible areas of its application have been indicated. Special attention has been paid to ontology utilisation in enterprises modelling. The projects devoted to ontology development for such issues, also for e-business activity, have been discussed. On the basis of these considerations, the evaluation of ontology usefulness to enterprise management support has been performed and the final conclusions have been formulated. (original abstract)
