Abstrakty

Celem pracy jest analiza przestrzennego zróżnicowania aktywności kobiet na płaszczyźnie gospodarczej i politycznej w Polsce na poziomie gmin. Do analizy wykorzystano następujące wskaźniki w ujęciu dynamicznym: stopa bezrobocia kobiet, wskaźnik zatrudnienia kobiet, udział radnych kobiet w ogólnej liczbie radnych. Na podstawie badań można stwierdzić, iż rynek pracy kobiet wykazuje zróżnicowanie przestrzenne w Polsce w ujęciu lokalnym. Widoczne są wyraźne prawidłowości, przy czym w dużej mierze aktywność kobiet jest limitowana ogólną dostępnością do lokalnego rynku pracy. Struktury przestrzenne charakteryzują się dużą stabilnością w czasie. W przypadku partycypacji kobiet we władzy lokalnej prawidłowości są mniej wyraźne, ale zaznacza się nieco lepsza sytuacja w Polsce zachodniej i północnej oraz generalnie wyraźny wzrost aktywności. The policy of equality is one of priorities among the activities conducted by the most important international organizations, including the UN, the Council of Europe and the European Union. Poland is obliged to observe the principle of equality and prevention of unfair discrimination on ground of sex, age or race, etc. Furthermore, the role of this principle is significant from the point of view of EU social cohesion policy. This paper focuses on the aspect of gender equality in Poland. The problem of equal treatment of women and men is mainly discussed in sociological and cultural terms, and less frequently in terms of economic sciences. It seems though, that this issue is equally important from the economic point of view. Equality of treatment of various social groups, including women, is significant in the labour market not only from the point of view of prohibition of discrimination, but also in the context of effectiveness of economy and, above all, the effective use of labour resources. Similarly, the increase in women's participation in politics and authorities is beneficial for the shaping of politics as it widens the spectrum of the problems discussed and is also more realistic, and consequently, more effective. The purpose of the paper is to analyze spatial diversity of activities of women in geographical and political terms in Poland. The paper concerns the level of communes and was conducted using the dynamic approach. The analysis is based on the following indexes: the rate of women's unemployment, the indicator of women's employment, participation of women councillors in the total number of councillors at the level of communes. On the basis of the conducted research it can be stated that, in the local context, the labour market in Poland is spatially diversified. There are clear regularities, but the activity of women is largely limited by general accessibility to the local labour market. Spatial structures are characterized by significant stability in time. In the case of women's share in local authorities these regularities are less pronounced, but the situation in the western and northern Poland seems to be a little better, and there is a definite increase in the activity of women in this field.
