This article presents the genesis and essence of the process of regional foresight in tourist industry development in a region. The observations are accompanied by a presentation of two results of the use of foresight, which should have a crucial influence on the development of a regional tourist industry implementing project foresight. Results of the research can be taken as the key factors enabling gradual changes in the region's tourism. (original abstract)
