Abstrakty

Korzystne warunki ekonomiczne, które charakteryzowały Polskę od 2003 roku pozwoliły przypuszczać, że uda się stworzyć mocną infrastrukturę. Brak postępów w zmniejszeniu różnic technologicznych pomiędzy Polską a innymi państwami członkowskimi, słabość konkurencyjna i rozwojowa MŚP, jak również nieprzeprowadzenie niezbędnych reform w zakresie finansów publicznych, nieelastyczność rynku pracy i niski poziom jego deregulacji opóźniło realizację tego celu. W artykule omówiono oprócz sytuacji gospodarczej Polski w latach 2005-2006 również genezę i rewizję strategii lizbońskiej.

The beneficial economic conditions that have characterised Poland since 2003 have instilled hope for the creation of a solid infrastructure that will allow the country to achieve the development standards of the European Union. However, the lack of progress in closing technological gaps between Poland and other member states as well as the failure to make the necessary reforms in public finance, the labour market and policies aimed at reducing regional disproportions has delayed realisation of this goal. Both the idea and actual realisation of Lisbon Strategy goals have to this point provoked fierce discussion and controversy due to difficulty seeing any real progress in the areas singled out by the creators of the Strategy as priorities.
