Abstrakty
Poniżej przedstawiamy zarys neoklasycznej wizji przedsiębiorstwa oraz jego doskonale i niedoskonale konkurencyjnego otoczenia rynkowego. Następnie uzupełniamy go analizą głównych aspektów tzw. nowoczesnych teorii postępowania przedsiębiorstwa. W ten sposób przedstawiamy niektóre wątki pomijane przez standardową teorię mikroekonomii. Badamy, czy przedstawione w nich idee czynią neoklasyczną teorię przedsiębiorstwa przestarzałą i wymagającą przeformułowania. (fragment tekstu)

Theoreticians of microeconomics usually compare an enterprise to a box that production factors are put into (input) together with manufacturing techniques (technology). On the opposite end the finished products emerge (output). The workers are passive performers of dispositions of the company’s owner, entirely submitted to completion of the priority goal that is maximising of profit. Such approach is justified if we focus our attention on the principles of setting the prices and production volume of a company and the methods of competing with other enterprises on the market. However, it has several significant drawbacks. It does not allow to present the influence of an enterprise structure and organization on the way of its functioning. It does not takes under consideration informational limitations the entities conducting economic activity are confronted with, as well as some costs of the company’s functioning, particularly the transactional ones. As a consequence, this approach does not consider several factors determining effectiveness of functioning. The Authors presents a sketch of the neoclassical vision of an enterprise, and its perfectly and imperfectly competitive market environment. The description is supplemented with the analysis on the main aspects of the so-called modern theory of enterprise proceedings (behaviours). Thus, the article discussed some aspects ignored by the standard theory of microeconomics. (original abstract)
