The Internet has become one of the major technologies starting to change the way in which banks interact with their customers. In today 's banking world the relationship between a customer service employee and the customer still is the banks major asset. The introduction of new technologies, such as self-service centers, and even more so, Internet banking, is beginning to gradually change the importance of this relationship. The ubiquitous presence of branch offices will in the near future not any more be a strategic advantage, the relationship between the customer service employee and the customer will change in so far as pure routine work will disappear. It can be expected that the role of customer service employees will more be that of an advisor.
The goal of this paper is to give an overview of how some selected banks are using their web presence. (fragment of text)
