Abstrakty

Celem niniejszego opracowania jest ukazanie zmian w wymaganych kompetencjach pracowniczych na skutek modernizacji technologicznej, zwłaszcza na tle implementacji na gruncie przedsiębiorstw, sektorów i gospodarek nowoczesnych technologii, w tym technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych, które stanowiły podstawowy czynnik rozwoju (boomu)gospodarczego w skali globalnej lat 90. XX wieku, i to zarówno sektorów tradycyjnych, jak i opartych na wiedzy. (fragment tekstu)

The goal of the article is to show the changes in the competencies required of employees that have been brought about by globalisation processes. The issue is shown against the larger framework of implementing modern technologies, especially information and communication technologies, in enterprises, sectors, and entire economies. Given this goal, changes in employee competencies established as a result of exogenous factors, in this case of the technology-push effect, are discussed. Modern technologies implemented in enterprises or particular sectors of the economy (such as the automatisation of production processes and administrative and office work) pose new requirements for workers, create new positions while eliminating existing ones, and lead to, in some sections of particular organisations or sectors, changes in the competencies required of workers. In the conclusions of the paper it is shown that, as a result of technological advancement, the demand for new skills is growing. (original abstract)
