Abstrakty
On July 22, 2006 the Polish Parliament enacted a new law on a European cooperative society (SCE); the law determines rules for formation, organising and conducting activities of European cooperation societies. An SCE is a legislative structure created to achieve goals typical for cooperatives and shows many distinctive features of a commercial company - in particular joint stock one. Appearance of a new form of business activity - European Cooperative Society can have a positive influence on the situation on the labour market by reducing the unemployment rate because cooperatives create favourable conditions for social integration. They can create jobs and foster economic growth without aspiring to generate profit in order to divide it among their members. Business activity conducted in form of an SCE enables strong mutual cooperation of the said local communities in EU allows an effective allocation on the labour market while taking into consideration a social factor.
