Abstrakty

Finanse publiczne w większości wiodących krajów uprzemysłowionych są obecnie w gorszym stanie niż kiedykolwiek wcześniej od czasu rewolucji przemysłowej, z wyjątkiem przypadków wojennych i bezpośrednio powojennych. Większość najbogatszych krajów świata znajduje się na niestabilnej ścieżce fiskalnej i finansowej. W artykule wyjaśniono przyczyny obecnej sytuacji oraz wskazano, w jakim kierunku sytuacja fiskalna będzie prawdopodobnie ewoluowała w bieżącej dekadzie. (abstrakt oryginalny)

Public finances in the majority of advanced industrial countries are in a worse state today than at any time since the industrial revolution, except for wartime episodes and their immediate aftermaths. Most of the richest industrial nations are on unsustainable fiscal-financial trajectories. This paper explains how and why this situation occurred and how it is likely to evolve during the rest of this decade. (original abstract)
